The structure responds to the gently rolling topography by tucking into the slope and rising up to fill an underutilized void.  By blending spaces and creating indoor to outdoor connections, it will invite the surrounding community and create an interface for new members.  Traditionally there are hard lines between one's own personal space and the outside world.  Here, a gradient of spaces and uses create transitions and opportunities for interactions.
