The True North project fills an urban gap and helps to link a developing neighborhood back to the urban core of Philadelphia.  A 19th century building is incorporated into the site while the new construction reinterprets the surrounding fabric in its articulation of the roof.  Unlike the common tacked on bay window, the massing is eroded by inserting terraces at the third floor and creating a connection between the activity of the street and the upper floors and roof terrace.  Triplex buildings anchor the corners of the block to complete the urban edges.
